The General Counsel serves as the primary legal counsel for the Governor and Tribal Council regarding Pueblo of Tesuque Tribal Government matters. As such, the General Counsel works on a wide spectrum of legal issues to address the essential legal needs of the Pueblo of Tesuque. Legal matters include a broad range of tribal, state and federal Indian law issues for various tribal departments in all aspects of tribal government, including matters such as federal-tribal relations, state-tribal relations, jurisdictional issues, gaming, taxation, economic development, environmental and natural resources, tribal law development, labor law and personnel management, capital outlay and infrastructure planning, contract drafting and review, and various other issues that the Pueblo of Tesuque encounters.   

 

Requests for legal review involving Pueblo of Tesuque Tribal Government matters must be directed through the Pueblo of Tesuque’s Office of the Governor.
